desta vez, é para mostrar Dublin em formato 35mm film. e que gosto tanto. para mim nada melhor para conhecer um sítio do que ir ao café. é lá, para mim que sou português, que se começa o dia e é portanto por aí que se conhece uma cidade. vou deixar aqui algumas dicas, daqueles lugares que marcam a cidade e que marcam o ritmo da mesma. estes são os meus favoritos, por agora, mas estou sempre pronto à descoberta.

this time, is to show you Dublin in 35mm film. and I really like this city. for me, there is no other way to know a city than a café. is there, for me that I am portuguese, which is supposed start the day. I'm gonna leave some hints, for those places that really make the city and make the pace. these are my favourite for now but I am always ready to discover some more.

brother hubbard

óptimo para o pequeno-almoço, com café fantástico do 3FE e bolos deliciosos, como o walnuts and almonds scroll. já referenciei antes este local, aqui // a good choice for breakfast, with amazing coffee from the 3FE and delicious cakes, like walnuts and almonds scroll. mentioned this place before on the blog, here. 153 CAPEL STREET

calzone café

uma esplanada pequena, mas acolhedora e boas opções de sandwiches // a small but cosy terrace and good options for sandwiches. 63 SOUTH WILLIAM STREET

clement & pekoe

pequeno espaço interior e uma mini esplanada que só tem direito a bancos, mas que tornam o sítio tão aconchegante. café é nota 10 // a small inside space and a mini terrace that only has a few benches but makes the place so comfy. coffee is A+. 50 SOUTH WILLIAM STREET

jo burger

o nome diz tudo. hambúrgueres deliciosos, boas batatas fritas e espectaculares limonadas. também já mencionei este sítio anteriormente, aqui e é realmente bom. mas só uma coisa, é preciso estar-se esfomeado // the name says it all. delicious burgers, nice fries and wonderful lemonades. I also mentioned this place before, here but it's really good. just one quick thing, need to be starving to go there. 4 CASTLE MARKET

metro

provavelmente o meu favorito. e quem diria, que com este tempo estranho não haveriam boas esplanadas? bem, esta é das melhores, assim bem pequena, quase que estamos sentados na mesa do vizinho, mas que interessa isso. a partir das 5h da tarde é ponto obrigatório para ver quem passa. ahhh e o staff, é brilhante // probably my favourite one. who would say with this weather would have so many nice terraces? well, this is one of the best. very small, we are almost on other's people table but that does not matter. after 5pm is mandatory being there to see who's gonna pass by. ahhhh and the staff's brilliant. 43 SOUTH WILLIAM STREET

é mexicano. grande escolha e grandes burritos. é um guilty pleasure - e é só isso! // it's mexican. huge selection and huge burritos. it's a guilty pleasure - that's all. 22 TEMPLE BAR

pygmalion

é outro local para ir depois do trabalho. o espaço exterior é do melhor com sofás e um ambiente super cool // it's another place to go after work. the outside is a must go with sofas and a cool athmosphere. COPPINGER ROW

simon's place café

fica num local tão giro, tem um café óptimo, bolos também e lugares para estar sentado a janela a apreciar a cidade. não poderia querer mais nada // is such a beautiful place, with nice coffee, cakes too and  also have window seating to enjoy the city. everything that I could ask for. the brick alley café

o meu primeiro café que experimentei em Dublin e continua na minha lista de favoritos. é giro, super acolhedor, tem uns paninis super bons e lugares à janela para apreciar o movimento em Temple Bar // my first coffee experience in Dublin and it's still one of my favourites. it's cute, super comfy, amazing paninis and window seating to watch the movement in Temple Bar. 25 ESSEX ST, TEMPLE BAR

bom local para beber um copo, sentar e relaxar // a good place for a drink, sit down and relax. 14 FADE STREET

the pieman café
é sobre tartes. e são fresquinhas e saborasas. também têm cervejas irlandesas artesanais // it's about pies. freshly baked and super tasty. also has some irish craft beers. 14 CROWN ALLEY


urban picnic

comida fresca, uma boa escolha para o almoço, apesar de muito movimentado. a decoração é engraçada // nice and fresh food, a good choice for lunch time, but always too busy. the decor it's quite nice. GEORGE ST. ARCADE

3fe

é sobre café e nada mais que isso (e nada melhor que isso!). já ganharam um milhar de prémios internacionais e estão no top 5 mundial! o café é o elemento principal e o menu varia para se degustar café de diferentes formas // about coffee and nothing else (and nothing better than that!). they won thousands of international awards and they are among the top 5 in the world! coffee is the key element and the menu changes to keep trying coffee in different ways. 32 LOWER GRAND CANAL STREET

quanto a mais bares e pubs, bem a escolha é tanta (pubs irlandeses, então!!), que basta entrar num, não gostando, saio e entro na porta ao lado, literalmente.
